Hot Tub Boat
Have you got a spare $42,000 lying around? This 16 foot boat may be ideal for the party goer who has everything. This particular boat comes with an 8 foot hot tub built in as well as other nifty features that lets you take to the water in style.
The hot tub boat is engineered and built in Seattle by a marine carpenter who specialises in bespoke house boat construction. The Vinyl ester hull is topped with African teak to produce a sturdy, practical design. In fact, the hot tub section is positioned on the boat’s centre of buoyancy, providing the boat exceptional stability even in rough waters.
The boat can accommodate up to six adult hot tub enthusiasts and includes four ice chests built into the deck to keep your drinks cool – because what would a hot tub be without a glass of Champagne to toast. The integrated diesel-powered boiler provides heating for the hot tub, cranking up the temperature to a maximum of 104° Fahrenheit.
Entertainment is also covered, through an integrated waterproof stereo system. This plays music from your MP3 player through two flush-mounted 50-watt speakers that pop-up from the deck. If things get a bit too heated, a teak swim step provides a way to dive into the surrounding water and to access the boat once again.
Finally, the boat is powered by a 24-volt electric motor that propels the boat up to 5 mph on calm water. This is navigated via a joystick located on the starboard/aft (right side for those unfamiliar with nautical vernacular) of the craft. Its rechargeable battery bank provides up to 10 hours of power from an overnight charge.
